Ithaca Public Education Initiative (IPEI) hosts its 28th annual Adult Team Spelling Bee at Liquid State Brewing Company on Saturday March 14th from 4:00pm to 6:30pm.
Gather your “hive” of up to six people to participate in this friendly team competition for lexicon lovers and autocorrect aficionados alike and raise funds for IPEI’s grants programs for local teachers and students. Ten teams in total will vie for a queen bee trophy and pots of local honey. Need more details? Head to our 2026 Spelling Bee Rules.
Team registration prices:
$400 for a business team of up to 6 people (includes drink ticket and door prize ticket for all team members, recognition on IPEI social media and newsletter, business name acknowledgement during the event, and business logo and team name displayed at table)
$300 for a community team (includes drink ticket and door prize ticket for all team members)

This year we’ve got prizes from Autumn Leaves, Buffalo Street Books, Cat's Pajamas, Gimme Coffee, Franco's Pizzeria, Liquid State, Moosewood, Museum of the Earth, Odyssey Book Store, and the Sciencenter!
