Josh Endo Memorial for the Continuing Support of Music Education (JEMM)

I can’t state strongly enough how important IPEI is to the students of the Ithaca schools. IPEI is behind so much that enriches and excites the daily experiences of so many students throughout the district.

  • acquia_marina_logoThe Josh Endo Memorial for the Continuing Support of Music Education (JEMM) enhances Pre-K-12 music education opportunities with particular focus on financial need-based scholarships for elementary student instrument rentals and secondary student instrumental music trips.  JEMM was created in 2013 by Josh Endo’s family and friends because he was an active participant who shined in the district music offerings including Ithaca High School Band and Orchestra and Woodwind Quartet.  A 2010 graduate, he also sang in the Young Men’s Chorus of Ithaca; enjoyed playing the guitar and piano as well as French horn; and participated in the student-run Rock the Arts Festival.  The first funds granted from JEMM assisted students going on the DeWitt Middle School Orchestra’s trip to the Heritage National Orchestra in Boston.
