IPEI and #NYgivesday

November 22, 2017

IPEI will be participating in #NYGivesday on Tuesday, Nov 28. #NYGivesday is a 24 hour online opportunity promoting opportunities for generosity and philanthropy across the Empire State.

Hosted by local tech-leaders and non-profit supports, Give Gab, IPEI is excited to be a part of this day focused on celebrating the good work of non-profits and charitable organizations across the state.

IPEI’s mission remains to connect classrooms to the Ithaca community and beyond, supporting innovative ideas that enhance student learning through various grant making programs.

IPEI has made over $20,000 in grants to the Ithaca City School District this year! These grants will fund 33 programs and projects in schools across the district- programs that develop literacy, connect cultures and explore scientific innovation, to identify just a few. A full list of the grants made so far in 2017 can be found here.

“Our Grants committee is excited to announce these grants! They are also looking forward to our upcoming application deadlines, January 17 and March 28, when IPEI will have the opportunity to continue support for innovative ideas throughout the district,” said Steven Manley, IPEI’s Executive Director. “I hope people will take a moment to visit our website, hear and read the stories of teacher innovation, and consider making a gift on Giving Tuesday to support our work.”
