Support IPEI (Ithaca Public Education Initiative) at the 2011 Ithaca Alternative Gift Fair on December 3!

IPEI is participating in this year’s Ithaca Alternative Gift Fair, which offers an opportunity to give charitable donations as holiday gifts for friends and relatives. The Fair was held Saturday, Dec. 3, and is now "open" online through December 17. Go to www.ithacaaltgiftfair.org, and click on the links for participating organizations.

We hope to see you at the Fair. It’s a wonderful way to learn about our community, share holiday cheer with others, support IPEI, and give gifts that have less impact on the environment.

The gifts we are offering this year are:

12A $5 Books for elementary students to take home that complement their Kids Discover the Trail! activities.
12B $10 Teacher Grants funding innovative classroom projects which involve a community partner while coordinating with curriculum in the Ithaca City School District.
12C $15 Fine Arts Booster Group grants bring artists, whose art is proven to support literacy and creativity, into Ithaca City School District schools.
12D $20 Code Red Robotics provides hands-on experiences with technology and FIRST Robotics for Ithaca High School students
12X $ open IPEI facilitates community connections and support for students and teachers of the Ithaca City School District through engagement, collaboration, gifts, and grants.
