Galumpha brings eye-catching choreography to the
State Theatre of Ithaca!
Ithaca Public Education Initiative distributes coupons for
free children’s tickets!
Ithaca, NY – They’ve performed for audiences around the world and now the internationally known dance sensation, Galumpha, will be bringing their act back to the State Theatre in Ithaca on Sunday, February 19 at 3:00 p.m.. This show is the next installment of the Tompkins Trust Company Family Series and is scheduled during Ithaca Loves Teachers and Light in Winter. For this event the State Theatre is working with a presenting sponsor, IPEI – the Ithaca Public Education Initiative, to spread the word to Ithaca families and teachers.
The show is general admission seating and tickets are on sale now for $15 for adults, $12 for seniors and $10 for children. In addition, group rates are available for parties of 10 or more. They can be purchased at the State Theatre Box Office, which is located at 105 West State St., by phone at (607) 277-8283, or online at www.stateofithaca.com.
IPEI is distributing coupons for free child tickets (with purchase of an adult ticket) throughout the local schools. The free tickets will be available to the first 500 who return the coupons in advance of the show. Coupons for free child admission are being distributed through the Ithaca schools and can be downloaded from the Events section of www.ipei.org. For this offer the tickets must be purchased at the Box Office and the coupon must be presented at the time of purchase.

Please stick around after the show for a “Life in Balance� workshop at 5:00 p.m. featuring Galumpha co-founder and director Andy Horowitz. This physical workshop on the State Theatre stage will feature exercises, games, and an introduction to weight sharing and acrobatic partnering. All ages and abilities welcome. Dress to move!
